ALL I DO IS WIN
2 Samuel 8:14
Then he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became David’s servants. And the LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.
On March 3, 2010 Black Entertainment Television (BET) debuted
a music video for DJ Khaled’s hit single “All I Do Is Win,” the song was a single from DJ Khaled’s fourth studio album entitled, “VICTORY.” The music video and song where both overwhelming successes and to this very day are featured on the “Billboard Hip-Hop Top 100 Chart.” The chorus simply says:
“All I do is win, win, win…no matter what, what, what!”
When asked what inspired him to name his album “VICTORY” and write the chorus to “All I Do Is Win,” Khaled said, “I thought it was time to tell myself, all the people who believed in me, and most importantly all the people who doubted me that after all the struggles and my early failures, I still won.”
It amazes me that this Muslim disc jockey could utter such a profound Christian sentiment:
*after all his failures
*all the times he was told no
Because he held on and didn’t give up, he still came out a winner. Not
only does he win once, but then Bro. Khaled has the spiritual sensibility to speak over his life that his name is “Victory” and “all he does is win.” I wish I could say that Khaled has enjoyed success because he is more talented than his peers, but most Hip-Hop critics and historians agree that he is NOT overwhelmingly gifted, but instead he simply would not take no for an answer. These same Hip-Hop critics and historians say that Khaled has out performed his more talented peers because he has out worked them. So if a Muslim DJ with little or no skill can blow up the charts and become one of Hip-Hop’s biggest winners… Please tell me why all us: HIGHMINDED, HOLY-GHOST filled, HALLELUJUAH HOLLERING saints can’t WIN too?!?!
Beloved, I stopped by today to find out if there is anybody else in here...
