Analysis of Real GDP and Inflation charts:

In this graph we can see that there is a progressive growth in the GDP with constant 2000 US in Colombia between the years 1980 to 2011, with some exceptions. It is noticeable that in the year 1999 it had a recession because it is almost in 90,000,000.000. Historically, from 2001 until 2011, Colombia's average quarterly GDP Growth was 1.07 percent reaching an historical high of 3.30 percent in 2002, which is clear in the previous chart. Analyzing the way that the GDP has grown in this country, taking into account that it refers to the market value of all officially recognized final goods and services produced within a country in a given period, it can be said that this county had a very good increase in their consumption, investment, government spending and net exports (aggregate demand) which means a lot of benefits for the country such as higher incomes. These can be attributed to an increase in domestic security, resulting in greater foreign investment, prudent monetary policy, and export growth which generates a lot of profits for the market economy of this country.






The graph of the inflation or GDP deflator shows a variable shape since the annual percentages had very distinct values, for example, the one in the year 1994 is of almost 55,000 while the one in 2009 was almost 0. Taking into account that the inflation is a rise in the general level of prices of goods and services in an economy over a period of time, it can be said that the values for the years between 199 and 2011 are benevolent for the market of the country. Demand inflation accelerates whenever aggregate demand is increased beyond the ability of the economy to produce its potential output. This means that the years between 1988 and 1994, the aggregate demand was very low which affects the economy of the country since it means low exports, and therefore, low foreign investment.
