Dear (name)
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to be a part of the play and also to apologise for my lack of commitment.

I understand that I was not there for the final dress rehearsal and I guess that the time I gave towards helping you and the crew out with the lighting was not enough.

I assume that I, sacrificing every spare moment I had towards this production was indeed pointless, I am very sorry I could not be more of a help. The notes I had taken for the majority of the cues in the play must not have been up to scratch for me not to be able to sit on the light desk, for how small it is. As it is the process which gives the happiness rather than relying on the recognition. I know I have not been recognised for the time I spent helping with the play, but I do not need recognition to have gratification from the job I had.

Thank you for this opportunity and I hope you would forgive me for not being up to your standards. I shall be grateful to be given an opportunity to serve again in future productions, if you think I am able to. I would like to carry on learning from Mr Wyatt to build on the skills I have already. If you would like/allow me to participate in future productions please contact me in anyway as I would love to try again in another production.
Thank You
