The production of goods and services in the United States has changed from the putting out system, to factory working conditions, and then onto the assembly line and specialization of the worker’s roles in production. When reaching the end of the 1800s, the United States faces a huge economic problem. We have the resources and technology to create the goods, but we now need more new buyers. Along with transportation, the technological communication influences have together shaped the outcome of what is now known as modern America. The first significant difference in the speed of communication was not seen until the telegraph in the 1840s. From there, the U.S. experienced the Telephone, Radio, Movies, and eventually reached to the in home Television in the 1950s. These improvements are the reason why our historical events were made possible to record throughout time.
