My Core Beliefs

This paper will describe my core beliefs not only as a person, but as a medical professional as well. I strive in my practice and in myself to do the best and be the best that I can possibly be. I know there is no way to be that “perfect” person, but I want to believe that my core beliefs help me be close to this with my family, my patients, my peers and everyone whom I may come into contact with.
The Nature of God
Because I believe in God, my usual practice is to be a good steward for God. Because I believe in The Lord Jesus Christ, my habit is to pray with Him and to Him every day. Because I believe in the Catholic Church, I can often be seen attending St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Because I believe in The Holy Bible, it is my practice to try and read from it everyday.
The Nature of Humans
Because I believe in being a good person, my usual practice is to help people who are unable to take care of themselves. Because I believe all people can be good, my habit is to trust most people. Because I believe most people want to do what is right at all times, I can often be seen doing what is right. Because I believe in being a compassionate and understanding person, it is my practice to be non-judgemental towards other people.
The Nature of Health
Because I believe in being healthy, my usual practice is to make sure I exercise and eat right. Because I believe people should not smoke or do drugs, my habit is to try to educate and encourage my patients to stop prior to going home. Because I believe in abstaining from harmful substances, no one will ever see me with any harmful substances. Because I believe that my high cholesterol is hereditary, it is my practice to take my cholesterol medications, exercise and follow what my cardiologist has suggested.
