"Don't believe everything you think"
As a toddler, my mother enrolled me in a gymnastics club because she wanted me to become a professional gymnast. I was only 2 years old and I didn't know that gymnastics even existed then. I was still a child so I didn't argue whatsoever. At first, the experience was bearable and I was enjoying it. I was winning tournaments and competitions. It was a fun sport and I trained for 3 hours 3 times a week at the age of 3. It was enjoyable because I liked engaging myself in sports. Though, I never felt happy.
Time passed and I started having second thoughts about gymnastics. I wasn't having as much fun as I used to and my interest in it was diminishing. Then at September 25, 2002 after a 3 hour training, I knew that gymnastics was not for me. It wasn't something I wanted to do for the rest of my life and it certainly wasn't something I was comfortable with anymore. You could say I had a lot of contemplations at the age of 3. I wanted to tell my mother that I wanted to quit so bad. I had to make a decision now or I'll be doing gymnastics forever. I wanted to withdraw because I was never the one who wanted to enroll in the first place. At November 18, 2002 I was going to tell my mother that I wanted to quit, but seeing that she'd be disappointed in me, I decided not to. I kept it with me and I forced myself to continue. Sometimes, when I get home, I'd show my mom that I was frustrated after training because maybe, she'd feel bad for me and I had hope that she'd be the one to tell me to stop. But nothing like that happened. I continued to what felt like forever, doing something I didn't enjoy. I continued gymnastics for another 7 years till I was 10. Surprisingly, I was doing well in the sport. There are 10 levels of gymnastics before going to nationals and I was at level 5 at the age of 10. But despite the accomplishments, I was miserable. I was torturing myself every time I went back to the training center and spending 4-5 hours...
