Human Resource HR functions that are going to be affected by the reduction in force are staffing and under staffing we have the followings: job analysis which is a systematic process of determining the skills necessary for the job, duties, and knowledge required for performing jobs in an organization, Mondy p.4, 13th ed., the planning regarding the downsizing, recruitment, and selection. Human resource development is a major human resource management HRM function consisting of the following: training, development, career planning, career development, organization development, performance development, and performance appraisal. Compensations which are a reward to the employees for their contributions towards organizational goals can also be affected if human resource downside includes: direct financial compensation, indirect financial compensation (benefits) and nonfinancial compensation. Safety and Health are going to be affected, and employee and labor relations will be immensely jeopardized if 30% of Human Resource function be affected by the reduction in force.
Staffing will be enormously influenced at the way that he is being compelled to release 30% of the workforce. Yes it ordinarily begins from the most minimal status up, however with a percentage of the workers being union individuals it makes it harder to relinquish those representatives in light of the fact that the union will battle for them.
