A world view is defined as “the framework of ideas and beliefs through which an individual interprets the world and interacts with it”.
My personal world view is that an individual is not limited by the circumstances they are brought up in. Any person can form their own future through determination, will power, and a positive attitude towards success. My world view has shifted and shaped over time due to many circumstances.
    A world view can change over and over due to many obstacles, including but not limited to; income, lifestyle, schooling, media, society, family, religion, and knowledge. The biggest factors that contributed to my world view were my family and my knowledge and understanding of the world that I learnt through school and traveling. Growing up in Eleuthera, I was taught from a young child that nothing came easy. My grandfather would always tell me and my younger cousin stories about when he was a young boy. He was born in an extremely small house on Cupids Cay in Governors Harbor with 18+ brothers and sisters. Having to share this house with so many others he had nothing to call his own. He would tell us how many days he had to sacrifice his meals and education in order to go to work to provide for his family. Although it was mandatory for their survival, my grandfather and some of his brothers would often go out of their way to provide the best for their family in hope that one day they would see the brighter side of things. This I called determination. Through his hard work and determination my grandfather was able to come out and escape his unlucky circumstances to become one of the most successful business men in Governors Harbor. Owning more land than he would have ever imagined followed by a small family- owned business that he calls his own. Just as his stories helped to change my world view, his circumstances and events that occurred during his life changed his world view to teach me.
