1. Include all of the information on your title page: Title of your paper, instructors name, etc.
2.Your Abstract is too long. It should be no more than a paragraph that summarizes the thesis of your paper. Look at the examples in the APA manual.
3. Avoid the use of personal pronouns in a formal paper. Instead, say " This writer or this author believes, found, supports, agrees, disagrees etc.
4. Closely examine your section headings: Main section headings should be centered and sub headings within a section should be flushed left. Do not sub-divide a section into subsections unless you include at least two subsections. Be consistent in placing your sectional headings in Bold type.
5. Your content is generally good. Proofread for even minor typos, grammar, spelling etc.

Abortion is considered as an expedient means to an age old problem of unwanted pregnancies. Over 40 million abortions are performed globally each year. Gender based abortion has also gained root in different parts of the world including the United States where thousands are performed each year. There are no accurate statistics about how many are performed, but studies show that the thousands of fetuses, especially females, are aborted in the United States due to gender considerations (Shi & Singh, 2009). Although gender based abortions might not pose a threat to the survival of the human race and particularly the female gender, it could have serious societal effects.
Senators Sypolt and Barnes aimed at making gender based abortions illegal in the State of Virginia when they introduced the bill “Prohibiting gender-based abortions.” This bill is still in process.
