There are many departments necessary to make an organization run effectively. For most companies, there is a Human Resources (HR) department, a Marketing department, and management. All three of these areas are crucial to successfully run an organization to the best of its ability. With these departments, there are software applications and information resources that are necessary to allow these areas to function properly.
For Bank of Oklahoma, the HR department oversees the overall function of all the other departments that are in the bank. They make sure that the employees are working in a safe and fair environment. To do their job, they have a system that is designed to give them easy access to all employees’ information regarding their job. The bank is so large that the HR department has areas within itself that branch off and do more specific things. For example, there is a group that handles payroll, there is a group that handles recruiting for all the areas of the bank, and there is a group that handles benefits. All of these different areas use a system that allows them to access and make changes when needed. Some smaller companies can do all these things with just a few people.
The Marketing department for Bank of Oklahoma researches the best way to get our companies name out to the community in the most respectable manner. Their job is to make sure the community knows what products our institution is offering at all times. There are various ways that they can do this. They can put ads in newspapers or on billboards. One of Bank of Oklahoma’s biggest investments in marketing is the newly built, BOK Center. This is the new arena that was built for all the events that come to Tulsa Oklahoma.
