News worthy is an article or news report that is interesting enough to the general public to warrant reporting.

This article is about a school shooting that happened in California. The young man the committed the crime was being bullied by a couple of students all the time. He was able to sneak into the schools side entrance with the gun. This student was able to shoot one student but was stop by two teachers and talk into putting the gun down. His statement before he was convinced to put the gun down was to the teacher I don’ want to shoot you but he named who he wanted to shoot which was the first student he shot and another that he did not get to.
There are several signs of a newsworthy article. Some are does it state facts or someone opinion, is it innovated, does have any controversy, the timing, is it relevant to the audience, and is it giving interesting information. In this article it has several of these factors to make it newsworthy. First does it state fact or someone opinion. In this article it states fact. It is giving the events of what occurred and how it occurred and the results. Second is it relevant to the audience, the answer is yes it is, This article is giving you the current state of events when it comes to gun control and what is going on in our schools when it comes to bulling. This also makes this a controversy subject as well.
The article makes you aware of what is happening I our schools. We are dealing with the bulling issue in our schools, there are controversy dealing with what we need to do with gun control and are our schools safe for our children.
