Education should be available for any one who wishes to learn, whether they are 18 or 80. Education is very important, not only does it allow you to have better career options but it also keeps your brain active and stimulated.
Not everyone is able to go on to further education, whether this is by choice or circumstances. For some they were unable to finish school, or get the results they needed. For others they choose to start working or go travelling before carrying on with education. Other people just don’t know, or can’t make a decision about what they would like to study. There is also the cost of studying, you may gain a lot from it but you can become seriously in debt, which terrifies many people. Should these reasons or any others stop people from being able study later on in life? No, the option of being able to learn should always be available what ever your age.
Many people benefit from gaining some basic skills and having some life experience before going on to study. Just because you are young and fresh out of school does not necessarily mean that this is the best time for you to study.
For some learning (whether it be doing courses or going to university) is about having fun, meeting new people and partying, for others it’s about getting a degree so they can have the career they have always wanted. What ever your reason for learning new things age should not matter, it should be your choice to learn if that is what you wish to do. Life itself is an education, but sometimes it is good to be able to choice to study something specific that will broaden ones knowledge or lead to other paths in life.
