After completing this module my view on teaching change entirely, in terms, of my perception on teaching a profession. It is much more complicated than just looking at it from a regular person. The teaching process is much more than just talking to students. You have to intermingle with the students, be imaginative in your teaching strategies whether demonstrative or discussion. Also, I think the lecture deliver very well and I can say we received just as much.
As a second year student in the Faculty of Education and Liberal Studies (FELS) there are many modules that you will be require to do, one such module is legal and environment Law (LAW). Within this module, the teacher didn’t deliver the various lessons in ways that we could have grasped it. She didn’t use all the teaching strategies were always centered around her and we did know why. Doing instructional Method I had learns that this was a Socratic teaching style. Secondly, in order to execute a lesson you need to plan and with this module (LAW) the tutor didn’t plan any of your lesson or class sections (lesson plan and unit plan). Within instructional Methods we were taught the important of Planning and effect of not planning properly.
In order to achieve an effective teaching and learning section one must plan. Planning is the process of setting goals, developing strategies and outlining tasks and schedules to accomplish the goal. Within Instructional Method we were taught the important of planning this will give you an edge on delivering of your lesson(s). Planning definitely help you in comprising the lesson plans and unit plans- these are all guards in preparing and delivery of a lesson. Secondly, in effective teaching and lesson one as to know the domain of learning present in the classroom before Instructional Methods, I knew the cognitive and affective learners. I was uncertain about the psychomotor learners, but now I am fully aware.
