My Decision for College
There are too many colleges to select in America, so it is really hard to pick one. However, in my opinion, my list of factors helped to influence my decision to attend a particular college, which was necessary to narrow my search to a small number of colleges that are a good fit for me. Eventually, I chose the University at Austin (UTA) as my first “candidate” because it fits my current situation and future plan.
After attending the UTA presentation at school, researching online and talking to people during college night, my concept of college is clearer. With my enthusiasm in math and science, I chose a place that best fit my desire to develop my logical thinking and to make my dream as a mechanical engineer come true. UT has an environment where professors encourage creativity, analysis, and critical thinking even while working to find solutions to real-word problems. It is not wrong to say that UTA is one of the best 50 schools in U.S. UTA qualifies as a school that has great academic reputation and provides students with great job opportunities after graduation.
Secondly, tuition is a big obstacle for not only me but also my family. I don not want to borrow money and have to pay back many years and neither do my parents. Luckily, I found financial aid and scholarship information attending on UTA’s homepage, which released some of pressure that I was feeling about this school. Additionally, I will find a job to support my study. My uncle once told me “If you waste your youth, you will regret it when you get older.” He is definitely right since the world never stops spinning; the more time passes, the more modern technology advances and competitions eliminate people out of the ‘’money game’’ in the social life.
The life is complicated but you have to face with it because you can not refuse the society’s appearance. UTA give me a big opportunity to meet 50,000 students on its campus and hundred of clubs. UTA...
