You will see a management performance plan, an employee hiring/training/retention plan that shows motivation, empowerment, training and coproduction with patients and families. I will show you how these plans are linked to the vision and mission statement and service strategy.
Management must have the motivation to do their duties. The motivation of management determines how employees are willing to do their job duties. Management may help with the patient to feel better about what they want to do. If a patient can’t wait to go out with family and they find out that they have an appointment the same day at the same time, management will go out of their way to speak with the doctor to get the time of their appointment moved so they are able to attend the outing with their family. This type of motivation shows that management is doing what is needed of them. “A great manager is someone that tells employees what they are expected to do; gives the tools, materials, and equipment; lets employees do what they do best; recognizes, celebrates, and praises good; not just exceptional, work; cares about each employees personal life; and encourages the professional growth and development of every employee” (Fottler, Ford, Heaton, 2011).
Management has empowerment to give opinion on any decisions that may be made. Empowerment also makes employees to want to help with the organization. An employee is able to give their opinions on what they believe should help to keep patients, employees and families of patients happy of what they see.
