Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus

If nobody is perfect, then no perfect relationships exist. How then could two people at least, strengthen their relationship?
Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus, an enormously popular book written by John Gray, contains many suggestions for improving relationships between men and women through understanding the communication style and emotional needs of the opposite sex. As suggested by the title, the book asserts the notion that men and women are as different as beings from other planets, and that learning the code of conduct of the opposite sex is of essential value even if individuals do not necessarily conform to the stereotypical behaviour.
It has thirteen (13) chapters, each presenting different facts about men and women. These ideas struck me the most and have been an eye opener for me to better comprehend the realm of relationships. Consequently, these have been the foci of my report.
First, it is essential to remember that men and women have reciprocally different natures. The differences between men and women include differences in thought process, sensitivity, memory, and communication. Men and women need to appreciate these differences, and cease expecting each other to act and feel the way they do. I suggest that a successful relationship is one that recognizes these differences between each other and is able to get beyond the scenarios. Hence, there should always be no expectations in a relationship.
Second, men and women have a different thought process when it comes to solving problems. While both sexes are capable of solving problems equally well, the thought process involved in coming to a resolution varies between men and women. For men, a problem is an opportunity for them to demonstrate their problem solving skills in a quick and efficient manner.
