World War II
World War II began in 1939 and it ended in 1945. During World War II, more civilians got killed than soldiers especially in the Pacific, Japan. United States entered the war in 1941. United States attacked to Germany in first place and after the Germans surrendered, U.S went to the pacific and attacked to Japan. There have similarities and differences between the war in Europe and the Pacific. While there are clear similarities between the fighting in Europe and the pacific during World War II. The main difference was Ferocity of the fighting in the pacific, which was caused by the racism and geography.
The battle for the soldiers in Europe during World War II was like loneliness for soldiers. They felt so lonely at night since no one's talking and it was totally silence. The weather in Europe was freezing cold at that time. The soldiers had to fight in the cold weather. It was mostly on the land. They have larger area and long range to fight. it was difficult for U.S because the Germans were hiding in the buildings and used tanks and stuff. The American soldiers had to live in the foxholes. The soldiers had not enough ammo and clothing. The soldiers felt depression because their friends dead in front of them. Some of them couldn't control their self. That war damaged the soldiers mental and physical.
The battle for the soldiers in the Pacific during World War II was scary. The soldiers had to fight on the island and they had nowhere to hide. The Japanese were waiting on the beaches to attack the U.S who were trying to land on the beaches. The U.S used the strategic of island hopping to attack Japan. U.S invaded the small islands which was kind of easy to attack. The soldiers got diseases especially malaria. The weather in the Pacific is hot. It was kill or be killed situation since there has only trees to cover. The Japanese soldiers did suicide which is known as kamikaze. They crashed their plane to the U.S ships.
