It’s 10’ o clock in the morning. Me, my older brother Steven and my first older sister Leela are in the basement watching T.V., while my little brother Nhia is sleeping, and my second older sister Mai See is hogging the T.V. upstairs. We were all dying of boredom downstairs, because Leela wouldn’t watch a show that me and Steven wanted to watch. Though that didn’t matter, our parents were going out to get some groceries. That’s when I asked to go with them, but they said no. I always wanted to know why they didn’t let me go this time, they usually let me go with them if they’re getting groceries. I shrugged and said okay. I went back downstairs to watch whatever Leela was watching again, because I knew I didn’t want to watch what Mai See was watching. About four hours past when I started to wonder where my parents went. Usually they never take four hours to go to the grocery store and come back, so I knew something was up, but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. That’s when we all heard Mai See scream. We didn’t know what happened so we all ran upstairs, wanting to know what happened. All I knew was I saw a little puppy cage and some panting, along with tiny footsteps. When I looked through the hallway, it was a puppy! Though we were all scared of her, we all climbed on the couch, terrified. Me and my siblings stared at her for a long time, thinking of a name. We named her Precious at first, but our little brother couldn’t pronounce that, so we changed the name to Charity. Charity was a stubborn puppy at first. Getting her to listen to us was a hassle, because she loved to explore the house. Later in the years she finally got use to us and decided to listen. It’s been 7 years since we’ve had Charity. She’s now a smart and funny dog that me and my family still love and hold close to us. Charity is still with us, and she is still the very first dog that we’ve ever had. To think we actually got a puppy!
