A culture that is poor has limited resources and must depend on output that involves a foundation of direct contact or scheduling of product distribution without advanced technology. Direct marketing of the poor has the potential of negative aspects as in missed competitive opportunities and missed timing due to infrequency or underdeveloped technology (Calantone and Di Benedetto, 2012). Positive attributes to direct marketing of the poorer people could reduce pricing of products in order to fulfill needs and may allow the culture to understand how important education is.
Upon reading the article in this week's assignment, I agree that a small part indicates colonialism. I believe the bigger process would be more of a socialism tactic to target ways to obtain more of the Latino money by using the (Ala) soap. The theory most likely indicated with the article is the underdeveloped theory with dependency aspects. This would most likely cause the culture to want better material items and the process could cause the culture to take out loans or undertake ownership views in renting or leasing property. It is not the process of colonialization, but rather almost backward in using socialism first, thus leading to colonialization. I believe too much influence on a culture such as Latino would cause assimilation. Capitalism may be introduced in regards to the article.
