National Honor Society ESSAY
I remeber my first day of freshman year. As i walked through the doors of Eagle Pass High, I felt as if i was entering into a new, profound, and illumanting stage. My years at E.P. high school has been a wonderful learning experience for me. I have learned so much about the world around me, and more importanly I learned about myself. For the past two years i have worked hard with my character to be who I am now. I feel that in order to be successful not only in high school but in life, it is to be a well-rounded individual. My parents guidiness and support gives me the fulling will to get out into the world and grow to be a well educated person. As my years in high school I grew to go by my rule of always taking responsiblity of my own actions. I believe in respecting others and treating them how you want to be treated. I don't regret any mistakes I've made because learning from them made me become so much wiser with my decisions. If you were to lose everything today the only thing people would be able to judge you on is your character. People who know me most intimatley would describe me as an honest, trust worthy, and dependable person. My experience in many sports in high school, have built on my character a great deal. I learn that having good sportsmanship and good conduct towards others can lead to better things than selffishness. Maintaining good character is important to me because I believe it is the basis of your personality. Character affects almost everything in your life. Being in sports and being a good leader requires great responsibility, but it is very rewarding to me. Helping out others gives me selffulfullment and the edge to do more for my community.
