Is your gut trying to tell you something? Is it trying to say that you’re overweight? Our country, America, is known for being obese. Obesity is a major health issue to people. It can lead to diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, and sleep apnea. It is possible to get these without being obese, but obesity rises your chances of developing these issues. Do you really want to develop some of these issues, and then later not be here for your children, or grandchildren? I didn’t think so. Now, let us look forward to a better world, a world that we got to live to see our great-grandchildren and be able to play with them, a more…in shape world! “How can I get in shape you ask?” you ask. Well there are five things you can do.
Step One: Set a Fitness Goal. Try and make yourself go to the gym at least once a week. Make sure your goal is very realistic, give yourself time to actually accomplish it. Set a goal to maybe lose three pounds in one week, and if you reach it reward yourself with one small piece of candy, or one thing you love. Tell yourself that you are going to try and walk every other day. If you have to set a weekly goal and have someone help you get motivated to reach it. Step Two: Form a Workout Plan. To get in shape you are going to have to exercise a little. Try looking at your schedule and decide which day would be best to go on a walk, or to try to go to the gym. You and one of your friends who would like to get in shape as well could go together. Try changing up your work out routine to prevent getting bored with the same workout. Your exercise schedule needs to be as important as any other scheduled appointment you would have, you are trying to be healthy and your health is extremely important.
