Lets we imagine it. You sitting in your doctor's office waiting for the tests results, one hand is shaking slightly. The doctor stopped writing up his notes. He walked to you, took off his glasses, and gently tap your shoulders. " you've got parkinson's disease." he said, and left the room. What are you feeling? Did you scared? Of course we scared of being the one who have incurable disease. Parkinson’s disease is disease in a group of conditions called movement disorders. This result from a loss of the brain’s control on voluntary movement. There are several early sign that many of people does not really ware about it. Do you ever feel a slight shakiness in your hand? Have problem in balancing? and your voice is fades away after a strong start? I have experienced it. Also, i have done some research on this disease using books like 'Parkinson's disease for dummies' and 'Luck, leadership and living with parkinson's'. There are many symptom of Parkinson’s disease that usually we know but today I want to talk about this three early symptom of the Parkinson’s disease which is rigidity, postural instability, and slurred speech. I will inform you one by one.
The first early sign of PD is rigidity. Rigidity is one of the primary symptoms of Parkinson's disease and refers to stiffness and resistance to movement of a body part. According to David Jones author of Luck, Leadership & Living with Parkinson’s publish in 2005, there are true story about Micheal J.Fox that during holiday, he begin to notice more about muscle stiffness and difficulties with everyday actions. This sign is probably the most ignored and easy to explain as something else sign. Rigidity also may occur in the neck, shoulders, hips and ankles. The stiffness and reduced range of motion may be painful.
