Personal development and reflective practice is an integral part of working with children and or young people. To support you in reviewing the need for personal development in relation to your work role, produce the following:

A description of the duties and responsibilities of your own work role:My role as a Level 2 teaching assistant is to provide specific support under the supervision and guidance of a classroom teacher. I have to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning and to assist teachers in the management of pupils and the classroom.In addition to the above, I support the teaching staff in the development and education of pupils including the provision of specialist skills as appropriate.My role as a TA is one that specifically supports a child with Autism & Asperger’s Syndrome; working within the remit of the Inclusion team.The Inclusion team works alongside the class teacher and other TA’s within the frameworks mentioned above as well as through consistent approaches to the learning and management of behaviour throughout the school.In a broader sense, my job description outlines my duties & responsibilities into 2 categories as outlined below. 1.
