Has America become too dependent on political parties? The media outposts have been playing with how citizens have viewed political ideas. The right, conservative side, and the left, liberal side, believe in different principles about taxes, and unemployment. For example, the right side believes that everyone should be taxed equally, no matter how much money they make. The right side believes this because if the rich is not taxed extra, then more jobs will be available. The left side believes that the rich should be taxed more, because the rich are fortunate enough and should be able to donate more. The forefather’s ideals of compromise seem to have vanished and the country split in to two sides. The political parties and their periodicals are what have contributed to make our country, which is currently, filled with disharmony.
    The politically right side believes that taxes should be the same for everyone no matter how much money they make. This is because if the rich are not taxed extra, then more jobs will be available. The article The Dems Never Learn, by Larry Kudlow, is a good example of how the right side exaggerates issues. The article deceives the reader by comparing the recession and lack of jobs to terrorism and war. Another article, All Mine, by Ian Frazier, is an article posted in the liberal website The New Yorker, which contains conservative ideas about how the rich should not be taxed more than other citizens. Saying “In fact, tax the rich and you’ll actually have less money than before…” (Ian Frazier). I think Ian Frazier was trying to explain that the rich will want to help less with jobs and the economy because the rich will feel cheated.
    The politically left side believes that the rich should be taxed more than the middle class and the poor because the rich are fortunate enough and should be able to donate more.
