The key of a business to exist in a country, not only because of their brilliant business strategy or excellent marketing skill, but the business also needs to concern the particular country’s political ideology as different countries believe in different political ideologies. Taken the top 2 highest GDP in the world as an example (Top 10 Richest Countries In The World, 2011), US who believe in the ideology of liberalism (Schlesinger, 1956) while China implements the political of Marxism ideology (Kang, 2001). In fact, political ideology is a set of belief and ideas that one can apply onto policies and events; one’s political “moral code” and world view (Trentmann, 1998). Therefore, the organization has to concern which country’s ideology is suitable for them in order to let them survive in the particular country’s industry. Hence, this essay will focus and discuss the political ideology of China and US, which is Marxism and Liberalism and then compare both ideologies in a business respective. This essay will end up with a discussion and reasons of a particular business choose to invest between both countries regarding to the political ideology.
According to Hu (2010), China’s politics have been following the ideology of Marxism for the past of 60 years and it is derived from their first president, Mao Zedong in 1943. President Mao implemented the basic Marxism ideology with leading the Communist Party of China (CPC) in order to develop the ideology into the politics and they believe that the Marxism philosophy could bring a positive impact to China in term of economy and society (Hu, 2010).
