My personal philosophy is simple: live your life in such a way that if someone spoke badly about you, NOBODY would believe them. I know that the way things are set up in this world, it seems so important to always feel and appear as if you are accomplishing great things, kind of like we are all keeping score. But I am a strong believer that we all have to work hard to remember what really matters. I believe that you should always remember that we are special not for what we do or the accolades that are bestowed upon us, but rather for what we do for others and who we do it with. If we continue to go about that the right way, I will take my chances on the labels anytime. I believe that we should never lose sight of the way you impact many of the circles of life that you touch. Everyone is connected in some way, and I think that people have this misconstrued idea that they are only one person, that what they do really has no effect on the world itself. Everything affects everything else; it is the circle of life – we are all connected. Collectively and individually, we are engaged in the tried and true task of doing our best to live life to its fullest, and continue to prepare for what lies ahead. We make mistakes, a lot of them, sometimes letting others down along the way. We worry about missing out on this or that, and at times wonder just who it is we are and what we should be. That is when I believe that you need to remind yourself that we are never the sum of the labels we wear or those that others may give us. We are our own person, and we have the opportunity each and every waking day to be the best person we can be.
