The right to bear arms has by far been the most unequivocal mistake our founding fathers have ever made. Guns not only perpetuate violence, but they set a precedent for impending violence all throughout the world. Violence that would not happen if it were not for the use of guns. Adolf Hitler, a man who has seen first hand the destruction of gun control has stated:
"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed the subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing”
Allowing people throughout the country to own a weapon will cause utter and complete chaos.
Firearm casualties are one of the most leading causes of death in the United States number seven to be exact (10k deaths), right on top of it is drug abuse (25k), suicide (29k), motor vehicle accidents (42k), alcohol abuse (107k), medical malpractice (195k), and the number one leading cause of death, tobacco (529k). Murders, and accidents from fire arms account for an astonishingly 1% of deaths in this country per year; that one percent annually, will one hundred percent be the demise of the human race as we know it.
Enforcing strict laws on gun control is essential and has consistently proven to be highly effective. Take the State of New Jersey for example; New Jersey has one of the sternest laws restricting guns in the country. The successfulness of their policies have really shown in the eyes of criminals with crimes like robbery, rape, and murder either being at the national average or above it. Let’s not fail to mention that New Jersey is home to only one of the top ten most dangerous cities in America, Camden. It seems that out of all of the deaths in Camden, gun violence only accounts to about 75 percent of crimes in Camden, and of that 75 percent, only 85 % of it is above the national average.
