Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet
For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.
Physical health: Physical health focuses on the outward appearance of a person like their physique, body size, and shape. I exercise one time a day for about 20 minutes which my doctor allows me too since I have health issues that cause some pain if I pursue to go longer. With positive attitude and myself motivation I get to increase my time to 10 more minutes. Staying in shape is my goal and keeping it.
Social health: Social health can refer to a person’s ability to have interactions with others or adapt to a social situation. Being a loyal friend and keeping touch every day with my friends helps me maintain a great relationship and meet with them twice a week to catch up on life and just enjoy it.
Intellectual health: Intellectual health can refer to the ability to think clearly and use your brain power. Driving every day to and from strengthen my intellectual health. When I drive I have to make many decisions and have to constantly think and remain aware of all that surrounds me.
Environmental health: Environmental health can pertain to a person having and showing an appreciation of the external environment. I am clean freak and least clean my house twice a day out of the week because these days I feel that a lot of people are getting sick with infectious diseases that can be in the air or in outer areas, it is important me to keep up with recycling and being very clean.
Emotional health: Emotional health relates to your ability to control your emotions appropriately. I believe everyone deals with emotional health on a daily basis, for example there may be certain situations that I am dealing with...
