Based on this masterpiece tale that Kate Chopin has provided us with, through a tale that unfolds a mysterious plot detailing an insight into an hour of the protagonist, which is Mrs. Mallard. I think the cause of Mrs. Mallard’s death was still heavily influenced by her ill heart. Of all the interpretation we came up with in class or amongst ourselves; ranging from suicide, murder, dream, joy that kills, etc., I am now a believer that one interpretation can be more valid and legitimate than other ones. As we scratched the surface of each interpretation of Mrs. Mallards death, we were able to eliminate the interpretations that were not logical, vague, and too common. With all the events that foreshadowed Mrs. Mallard, I think what   pushed Mrs. Mallards over the edge to her death was all the contributing factors, and clues Kate Chopin used in the story. On my initial response, I was mistaken to think that Mrs. Mallard didn't want to live, in fact I even questioned her morals, but after our class discussion, I reconsider that fact. I think Mrs. Mallard wanted to live and wishes she can probably take back her death, but the heavy burdens, mixed with all the frenzy that happened in her life caused her hearth to sort of blow out like a fuse. Throughout the book, Mrs. Mallard emotions were not consistent because they shifted from joy, to devastation, sort of like a roller coaster. The undivided love and good intentions her husband had for her joyed her, “the face that had never looked saved with love upon her”...Mrs. mallard understood the good in him, but what ached Louise heart was how she saw that “there would be no powerful will bending hers in that blind persistence with which men and women believe they have a right to impose a private will upon a fellow creature.” This just didn’t fare well with her and made her life even more dramatic on top of her inconsistent marriage.
