The four elements of the marketing mix are referred to as the four Ps of marketing, which are identified as product, place, price, and promotion. The organization selected from familiarity is DIRECTV, which is a company that delivers the ultimate video entertainment experience at home, or on the go. DIRECTV is also known for its cutting-edge technology that takes its customers entertainment experience to a whole new level. This assignment will describe how each of the four elements of the marketing mix affects the development of DIRECTV’s marketing strategy and tactics. It will also identify how product, place, price, and promotion are implemented into the company’s marketing strategy.
DIRECTV’s marketing strategy begins with its products that consist of such an array of basic programming from, sports packages, premium movies channels, to the new innovative technology of available equipment. DIRECTV’s product is about providing its customers the ultimate video entertainment experience at home as well as on the go. DIRECTV is accessible through a basic receiver, digital-video recorder (DVR), or its new Genie, which allows a customer to record five programs at the same time, which are assessable from four different rooms.
DIRECTV is known as the undisputed leader in sports programming packages. It does not matter what team a customer followers, where he or she may live, no other company has their customers’ sports interest covered like DIRECTV does.
