Title: The Hobbit
Author:   J.R.R Tolkien
Text Type: fantasy novel

The Hobbit written by J.R.R Tolkien is a story of self discovery. Bilbo Baggins at the beginning of the book is a well respected Hobbit that has no sense of adventure , this reminded me of myself a few years ago, I was always the shy one and didn’t enjoy putting myself out there. I liked the type of character Tolkien had created and thought "We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!" set a good image of a hasty Hobbit. This was just like when Bilbo saved the dwarfs from the spiders, even his comrades that didn’t enjoy his presence learned to give him respect. I think that I am quite like Bilbo in the sense that If an opportunity comes for me to shine I will try and take it to earn some respect from others.

The bond between the adventurers grow stronger as they get closer to their goal of retrieving the...
