PLAGIARISM -- an act or instance of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author's work as one's own, as by not crediting the original author.
I just plagiarized the definition of plagiarism above. But not any more because I will credit the intellect of the respectful owner of the definition. The definition of "plagiarism" pasted above was from http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/plagiarism.

News is spreading everywhere that our dear senator, Senator Tito Sotto is being accused by an American woman of plagiarizing her blog in the middle of the debate on the Reproductive Health Bill.
After The Man Senator's speech, the owner of the blog, Ms. Sarah Pope, started receiving messages from our fellow Filipinos telling her blog was plagiarized. Our dear senator denied using parts of The Healthy Home Economist's blog post for his speech arguing against the RH Bill.
And on the other hand, Ms. Sarah Pope made a blog post about Senator Sotto's denial criticizing him as "a lying thief".
Reacting back, Senator Sotto said in an interview that both of them cited the same source, Dr. Natasha Campbell McBride, a doctor from Russia. "Why would I quote from a blogger? She is just a blogger", The Man Senator said.
This news is getting bigger and bigger as it spreads globally. You can view the article about Sen. Sotto's plagiarism thing-y here. Compare and judge.
And about the "Why would I quote from a blogger? She is just a blogger" thing, it is hurtful for bloggers out there and especially me, who had a long time planning for a blog and who just started posting a blog post last night.
