I’m on the sea! I’m on the sea! I am where I would ever be, with the blue above and the blue below, and silence wherever I go.
The ocean is a great body of salt water comprising of all the oceans and seas that cover nearly three fourths of the surface of the earth. This sight is so amazing and is so vast and full of motion as every wave sweeps the shore.
This boundless blessing is more than a work of art. Inhaling the richness of the sea and absorbing the salty tickle on your lips makes you and me want to explore more and more. Who doesn’t enjoy the sea and its waves whether it is high tide or low tide. Young and old can be all found at the sea. Every year millions of people flock to the different sea shores enjoying every moment of their stay. Swimming, diving, snorkeling, surfing, fishing and cruising are all the activities people enjoy doing at the different oceans.
There are four main oceans in the world namely: The Artic ocean which is the smallest and expands from the North Pole to Europe, Asia and North America. The Atlantic ocean which is the second largest and most heavily travelled. The third largest ocean is the Indian ocean and contains numerous islands. I always wondered why does the ocean appear blue when a glass of sea water is clear. Now I’ve finally found my answer. The sea is normally blue because the ocean reflects the colour of the daytime sky, on the other hand the ocean appears blue because of the scattering of the tiny particles and gas molecules in the atmosphere.
The sea teaches us so many lessons in life. It never complains
about being exhausted nor does it ever get sick. Yet when we travel on the sea we sometimes becomes sea-sick.
