Three human fundamental interests
During the long study of the Curriculum it has attracted attention not only of pedagogues, but of the whole society in general, the search of responses or lines of action to improve the education in our country. On the following pages I will develop the Curriculum as a concept but as a cultural construction and that also allows to organize a set of educational practices.
The Curriculum is not a concept, but a cultural construction. That is to say it is not a question of an abstract concept that has any existence to part of and precedent to the human experience. It is, on the other hand, a way of organizing a set of educational human practices. So much the conceptual and cultural approach, they pass to a Curriculum as a social construction, since an important element corresponds in the school for constituting a part of his culture. Express S.Grundy that “ to speak about the Curriculum constitutes another way of speaking about educational practices of certain institutions ” and to understand the above mentioned practices is necessary to meet the establishment and the society in whom it is inserted, his organization and the bases on which it is constructed. This approach constitutes a challenge for the teacher, since there will have to demand from him the use of suitable strategies of education that they should assure significant learning in the professional training, but simultaneously to bear very much in mind the ethical part, considering for it the importance that it must assign to him to the socially significant contents in the historical cultural context.
The conceptual approach of the Curriculum corresponds to that of a checkerman with regard to the project of a house, nevertheless, a cultural perspective of accommodation would have more that to see with the houses in which the persons live already, with the reasons that lead them to living in them and how must a house be when they want to change domicile.
