Introduction:
One does not have to be an adolescent girl to know about Stephanie Meyer’s series, Twilight, and the storyline.   Stephanie Meyer was actually the second bestselling author of the decade, only following J K Rowling, author of the Harry Potter novels.   Twilight has been described as inappropriate for children because of its sexual content and the message it sends to young ones.

Section 1: The Author
Stephanie Meyer is an author mainly known for writing her romance series, Twilight.   The series sold over 100 million copies globally, with translations in thirty-seven different languages.   Meyer had never written anything prior to writing Twilight, and never thought she would become a writer.   She had the idea for this series in a dream on June 2, 2003.   The dream was about a vampire who was in love with a human girl but craved her blood.   She also says that the story was inspired by different music by artists like Muse, Blue October, My Chemical Romance, Coldplay, and Linkin Park.   She also says that being a Mormon also influenced her work.   This shows whenever the characters “tend to think more about where they came from, and where they are going, than might be typical.” (Wikipedia)
Meyer has received a lot of positive feedback about her writing.   Entertainment Weekly has stated that she is “the world’s most popular vampire novelist since Anne Rice,” The Guardian described her as being an “imaginative storyteller, a prolific author and a newly powerful figure in the publishing market.”   Meyer was also named USA Today’s “Author of the Year” in 2008, along with one of MSN Lifestyle’s “Most Influential Women of 2008” where they described her as a “literary luminary.” (Wikipedia)
