Violence in Society and the Continuous Growth
Today in our world, violence has affected our society in a very negative way. Violence has been heavily increased over the past years, growing daily. Violence is also the expression of physical or verbal force against self or other, compelling action against one's will on pain of being hurt. Violence is also the act of causing pain to one's self or others. Violence can be the use of physical force to injure people or property. Violence can include physical or emotional pain. Arguments of many people say that verbal violence is not really violence, but that just the first stage. In violence cases there is always the abuser or the person being abused. Many people deny the fact that they are either one and do not accept that they do have a problem with violence. Many people cannot face their own issues so they use violence as a relief to relieve their problems. Violence has become number one on the list that affects our society in a negative way. In this writing we will be discussing four different types of violence. The four types are gang violence, domestic violence, violence caused by the economy and drugs and their role in violence.
What is gang violence? Many people today have looked over gangs and how their violence plays a negative role in society. In Los Angeles California gang related violence has increased dramatically in the last sixteen years, reaching epidemic proportions especially for young African Americans and Hispanics. Gangs have also increase across the United States especially on the east coast. Many young people and kids get involved in gangs because of power, status, security, friendship, family substitute, economic profit, substance abuse influences, and numerous other factors can influence kids to join gangs.
