Which Road Would You Take?
Life is full of unmade decisions that may be difficult or as easy as picking between chocolate or vanilla.   Whether the decision being made is tough, it will somehow be life changing it should be reviewed carefully.   The poem, “The Road Not Taken,” by Robert Frost, is about a man who has reached a point in his life where he has to make a decision between two different paths to take. As the author puts it in line 1-2, “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood and sorry I could not travel both” (Frost).   Frost implies in this poem that the decisions we make are sometimes involve taking risks, that we should take responsibility for our decision, and that we should be aware that every decision we make can greatly impact our lives.  
Robert Frost uses imagery as he described a walk in the woods as a metaphor for making a decision in life, something that people are faced with every day.   When the traveler in the poem is faced with two roads to choose from, he is not sure which one to pick.   Not wanting to choose the wrong one, he examines each road to the best of his ability.   Similarly, throughout life, people have to choose between lots of different roads to go down, not always knowing what lies ahead on either path.   Frost states, “Then took the other, as just as fair, and having perhaps the better claim, because it was grassy and wanted wear” (6-7).   The traveler analyzed each road and chose the one that looked less traveled.   Many times, people try and take the “worn out” road, because some people would rather keep it safe than taking risks through life. Frost does an excellent job at analyzing each road and showing the reader how important it is to make sure you are making the best decision for you and your own life.   Just because everyone is doing it, does not mean we should jump on the bandwagon and do what everyone else is.   For example, when having to make an important decision, such as confronting your parents about your relationships...
